Finding Community After a Late ADHD Diagnosis with Meredith Cairns-Palmer

Updated: Mar 25

I recently had the most incredible conversation with Meredith about divine feminine energy, navigating life with ADHD, and the messy, beautiful journey of self-discovery.

Meredith shared her own experiences with burnout, neurodivergence, and the transformative power of coaching. We talked about how so many of us—especially women and neurodivergent folks—struggle to fit into a world that wasn’t built for us. And honestly? It’s exhausting. But the good news is, we don’t have to keep playing by rules that don’t serve us.

One of the biggest themes we explored was self-validation. We’ve been conditioned to seek approval from external systems—work, relationships, society—but the real magic happens when we learn to trust ourselves. Meredith emphasized the importance of rejecting societal structures that tell us who we should be, so we can finally embrace who we are.

We also dug into the deep-rooted challenges that come with breaking generational cycles of trauma and unlearning hyper-independence. So many of us have been taught that we have to do everything alone—but true healing happens in community. Finding people who get you, who make you feel seen and accepted, is everything.

Of course, we didn’t just talk theory—we also shared practical ways to reconnect with yourself:

  • Setting boundaries that protect your energy (without guilt!)

  • Creating "intuition days" to tune into what actually lights you up

  • Small daily decisions that help rebuild self-trust

  • Finding support through therapy, coaching, or community

Biggest Takeaways:

  • Meredith helps women escape the rat race and find fulfillment on their terms.

  • Divine feminine energy is about self-love and compassion—not hustle culture.

  • Burnout often happens when we try to conform to a world that doesn’t fit us.

  • Coaching can be the validation we need to heal and step into our power.

  • Community is key—hyper-independence is often a trauma response.

  • Authenticity is the secret to both personal and professional success.

  • Breaking generational cycles means unlearning and relearning who we are.

  • Reconnecting with yourself is a personal journey—one worth taking.

This conversation left me feeling so inspired and grounded, and I hope it does the same for you. Have you felt the pull to step away from societal expectations and reconnect with your true self?
